Jenny Bird began her design career on the wings of a dream. This Canadian-
born designer grew up in the rural artistic community of Elora, Ontario. She
hails from a family of seamstresses and from a young age was active in art
programs, and loved to craft and sell her wares to her family out of the living
room. After gaining a degree in Commerce and first exploring a career in
Marketing, she determinedly found her way back to her passion for creating.
Self-taught in accessories design, her eponymous collection of handbags
was launched in 2008 from a New York City Garment District bag factory. It
immediately captured rave media reviews and a coveted Trunk Show at New
York’s prestigious Henri Bendel on Fifth Ave.
Bird pours her love of beautiful things into her work. She is obsessed with
the power of style and dressing for the everyday, which shows in her work.
A talented stylist, Bird focuses on creating versatile pieces she feels are
missing in the market when shopping for, and styling herself. She is also
committed to providing a luxurious product at an accessible price point.
Focusing first on handbags and growing organically into jewelry in 2009, the
line has garnered a devoted customer and celebrity following in a very short
time. Jenny’s pieces can be regularly spotted on such trend-setting shows as
Gossip Girl, Melrose Place and The City, have graced the cover of New York
Times Style Magazine and been featured in VOGUE.
Bird’s collections are carried at many of the finest, most fashion-forward
boutiques and retailers worldwide. She now splits her time between her
home in Toronto and her creative hub, New York.
